LOS ANGELES TIMES: Eric Stephens reports Anaheim Ducks GM Brian Burke admitted he'd had interest in Forsberg but was told by his agent that Forsberg had no interest in signing with the Ducks. Burke also dismissed a CBC-TV report on Saturday claiming he was looking at acquiring LA Kings blueliner Rob Blake.

Colorado does have the advantage of cap space and familiarity and if the Flyers drop out of the running I think they'd have a strong chance of signing Forsberg. Still, given his current struggles I'm not convinced he's returning this season...if at all. As for that silly rumor of Burke chasing Blake, given the Ducks depth at the blueline it made no sense to suggest he was pursuing yet another big name defenceman when his obvious need is for more scoring.
